St. Stanislaus

Altar and Rosary Sodality

St. Stanislaus Altar & Rosary Sodality was organized by Rev. Thomas Wilkin in the year 1906 and celebrated their 100th anniversary on October 1, 2006.

The Altar & Rosary Sodality under the patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary has at all times honored their patroness, particularly during the months of May and October.

Motto: "The more you honor me, the more I will bless you."

Mission and Goal:
Promote the recitation of the Rosary.
Supply the needs of the church sanctuary.
Conduct a prayer service at members' wake.
Participate at funerals for members.

Visit the Rosary Center to learn more about praying the Rosary.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother; To you I
come; before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

To join the Sodality, one must be of the Roman Catholic faith, a member of the church or have attended St. Stanislaus School. Meetings are held on the first Sunday of every other month at 9:15AM. No meetings are held in July and August. Any meeting changes are mentioned at the meetings and noted in the church bulletin. Prior to the meeting, the Rosary is recited in the church in front of the Blessed Mary. Election of officers are held at the last meeting of the year in November, because in December the Wigilia Dinner is celebrated. The society sponsors three Masses during the year, two for the living members and one Mass in November for the Deceased members.
